We have welcomed a special insect to our class as part of our science curriculum. The class have collectively chosen to name him Twiggy the stick insect. The children have learnt lots about animals and their different habitats. It has been an exciting journey watching the insects hatch from their eggs. The children love checking up on the insects every morning, making sure there are enough leaves for it to survive. They have also been working very hard in their writing lessons to write a description about a meteor shower. Their use of adjectives are amazing and really makes their writing come to life. This week they will edit their work and publish it into their special books filled with their best work!
